MILL FARM, HILLSBOROUGH

Privately owned series of vernacular mill buildings.
Removal of overgrowth of vegetation including well established ivy. Stripping back loose stonemasonry, cleaning of stone, and rebuilding of stonemasonry using NHL3.5 lime. Original sand was matched as closely as possible. Brick re-pointing and building was carried out with NHL2. Various sections required lime grouting which was prepared on site to a suitable consistency to aid administration to voids. All existing stonework was cleaned and re-pointed. No new stone was used on the project as all the existing stone was present and salvaged on site.
